Living room home styling

I'm thrilled to share the story of our recent living room renovation project. We encountered a unique challenge with a living room layout where the TV and dining table were uncomfortably close, while the family's love for vintage vinyl records needed a dedicated space. To address these issues, we embraced a soothing Smokey Blue color palette as our guiding theme.

Our design journey began with the selection of Smokey Blue, a color that exudes calm and elegance, and matches the curtains in the room, setting the stage for our transformation.
The most pressing concern was the cramped layout. We decided to shift the TV to the opposite wall, creating a more spacious seating arrangement. This change allowed for a comfortable and inviting dining area, complete with new stylish chairs to complement the Smokey Blue walls.
To add character and depth to the space, we incorporated several key elements:
We adorned one wall with a unique wallpaper pattern, adding depth and visual interest.
Stylish lamps not only brightened the room but also served as striking design elements.
In response to the family's request, we selected a versatile corner sofa that effortlessly transforms into a bed, offering both comfort and functionality.
The family's passion for vintage vinyl records was a driving force behind our design. We introduced storage cabinets to fit the vinyl records, keeping their collection organized while maintaining a clean room aesthetic.
To achieve a more clutter-free look while showcasing the family's big book collection, we made a few strategic changes: The TV and books swapped places, creating a more harmonious room flow, and glass doors were added to the bookshelves, providing a tidy display and protecting the books.
This living room transformation was an exciting journey, turning a challenging space into a comfortable and stylish retreat. By relocating the TV, creating a dedicated vinyl record area, enhancing the lighting, and reducing clutter, we achieved a room that balances form and function. Now, the family can relax, enjoy their music collection, and welcome guests in an inviting and thoughtfully designed living room.
